South Korean handset manufacturer LG hinted to a new lineup of Android smartphones that would be unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2013 next week.
The so-called F series leaked several days ago and the first two press photos showing two smartphones leaked no later than yesterday.
Today, LG announced the upcoming availability of the first two smartphones in the F series, Optimus F5 and Optimus F7, the same devices that we’ve seen in the photo pictures leaked yesterday.
No word on exact release dates and pricing yet, but LG promised more details would be unveiled at a later date.
Software-wise, both F series phones will ship with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, along with some advanced UX features like the upgraded QSlide and Live Zooming.
LG Optimus F5 is a budget-friendly 4G LTE smartphone that comes equipped with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory that can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

The Optimus F7 boasts a slightly larger 4.7-inch True HD IPS capacitive touchscreen display and a much better 1.5GHz dual-core processor, accompanied by 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory and microSD memory card slot.
It also packs an enhanced 8-megapixel main camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
